I.Franko literary - memorial museum in Kryvorivnja
24.10.2008 223 km from пгт. Ворохта in direction Верховины, in a valley of the river Black Черемош, the village Krivorivnja has settled down. The first written mention is dated 1719. The name resembles from a lay of land on which there is a village which has the form of an arch.
This village is known in Ukraine first of all due to the known Ukrainian writer, political and to public figure Ivan Franko. Ivan Jakovich under the invitation of known specialist in folklore Gutsulshchiny Vladimir Gnatyuk for the first time has arrived in Криворивню at the end of before last century. Places local have so liked it(him), that it(he) chooses Криворивню for the constant summer holiday and comes here almost every summer with family during 12th years.
V.Gnatyuk managed to transform little-known then mountain village into " years(summer) capital " Ukrainian culture. In Криворивне others had a rest also Леся Украинка, Михайло Коцюбинский, Гнат Хоткевич, Василь Стефаник, Марко Черемшина, Konstantin Stanislavsky and many. Here has written Коцюбинский the story to " the Shadow of overlooked(forgotten) ancestors ", and half-centuries later has removed(has taken off) the known film with the same name director Sergey Paradzhanov.
Staying in Криворивне in 1901-1914, I.Franko stopped in the house belonging at that time Василю Якибюку, local the master of woodcarving. In 1953 the house it has been given under a museum. Now the exposition is in three rooms.
In one it is submitted a working room of the writer, in it(her) in due time were O.Kobyljanska, S.Grushevsky. The bed on which I.Franko, a bench of that time, hours, a little table, a huzul small axe-бартка, presented Якибюком to the writer slept, an armchair - folding bed on which Michael Kotsjubinsk had a rest was kept
